Join the Coalition for the Homeless for the third annual Project: Back to School, and help New York's 15,000 homeless children get the school supplies they need to succeed. With your help, we can ensure that New York's neediest boys and girls have the tools necessary to succeed in school.
Citibabes is pleased to play a part in this important project by hosting a school supply drive. As you shop for backpacks and other school necessities this fall, pick up a little extra to help get our most vulnerable neighbors off on the right foot this school year. Beginning this week, you can stop by Citibabes to drop off school supplies to help homeless children in New York City.

The Coalition for the Homeless is the nation's oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless families, men, women and children. They believe that affordable housing, sufficient food and the chance to work for a living wage are fundamental rights. Since 1981 they've fought successfully for lasting solutions to homelessness through their groundbreaking advocacy.
CitiFit: September Family Fitness Month

September is “National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month” and along with First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign, we here at Citibabes think the back-to-school season is the perfect time to help children and parents jumpstart a healthy routine-together. Citibabes will host fun weekly CitiFit workshops, share a different nutritious and delicious healthy recipe card each week, as well as a contest called “Baby Steps” in which families are given a pedometer to track how many steps they collectively take over the course of a month. Each family who participates will be entered into a drawing to win amazing prizes from Citibabes, Stonyfield Organic, and more! Our goal? To inspire healthier choices at home!

CitiFit Workshop: Namastar Yoga

Preview our new hour-long family class mixing sun salutations with star constellations in this galactic twist on traditional yoga (thanks to our dreamy laser star machine!). Movement games inspired by gravity and orbiting planets get children moving, while our stargazing cool down will leave parents over the moon.
